Below is a summary of the equipment owned by the Boat Club. On some occasions information about the boats is rather sketchy.

Any additional details would be gratefully received.

Two clinker coxed fours, the origins of which are unknown but they may have been donated by John O'Gaunt R.C. when L.R.G.S.B.C. was founded. No longer in use.
1951 John Gardyner

 

The report for the 1950-51 season makes reference to the delivery of a boat called "John Gardyner" but there is no record of its origins or what type of boat it was.The name commemorates the founding benefactor of the school. There was a clinker IV still in existence until about 1993 called "John Gardyner" - this may well have been the same boat.  No longer in use.  photo showing the boat
unknown New clinker four Reference is made in the report for 1962-63 of the existence of a new clinker four, the origins and name of which are unknown. There was a clinker IV still in existence until about 1998 called "M4" - this could have been the same boat. No longer in use.
unknown Tub pair Mentioned in the report for 1962-63 but origins and name (if any) unknown. No longer in use.
1954 A Light Four Details not known. No longer in use.
1960 Sallie

Jane

Two clinker VIIIs built  by Bowley of Chester. These boats were purchased  as a result of an offer made by Mr. Henry Little O.L. at the 10th Anniversary dinner in 1958, and a grant from Lancashire County Council. The boats were named after the daughters of the two men who were most responsible for the boats appearing on the Lune. No longer in use.

1966 New Clinker four A new Clinker Four. Origins and name unknown, arrived in the Michaelmas Term of 1966. Probably built by Ronald Bowley of Chester. No longer in use.
1967 Shell VIII

Acquisition of  a pre-war shell eight. Received as a gift to the Club by the boat-builder Ronald Bowley of Chester. For training only. No longer in use.

1969 Shell VIII New Shell VIII purchased. Details unknown. No longer in use.
1976 John Gardyner

A Restricted Four from B. & H. Ltd at Ely. Purchased in 1976 but not named until 1995. Given the name John Gardyner following the scrapping of the old clinker four of the same name (see 1951 above). Still in use in 2003.

1981 George A shell four. Origin unknown. Launched in 1981. Named after former Master i/c Rowing, George Watkins. Converted to a coxed quadruple scull in 1992. Still in use in 2003.  photo showing the boat

1990 Denny Beck

Three Burgashell single sculls. Purchased in 1990 but only named in 1995 at the re-launch following the flood of February 1995. Still in use in 2003. The third boat was destroyed in the flood and never named. Purchased by ROCAP.
1992 Ken Taylor

Aylings coxed four/quad. Purchased in 1992 but not named until 1995 at the re-launch following the flood of February 1995. Purchased by ROCAP. Named after former Master i/c Rowing, Ken Taylor. Still in use in 2003.

1993 Irene Gilbert

Sims Of Nottingham, coxless quad. Purchased second-hand from Nottingham + Union R.C. Still in use in 2003.

1994 Mike Ryan

Burgashell double scull/pair. Purchased in 1994 but not named until 1995 at the re-launch following the flood of February 1995. Purchased by ROCAP. Named after retiring coach Mike Ryan. Still in use in 2003.

1995 Duke Of Lancaster

Aylings Coxed Four. This boat was purchased as a result of a grant from a Lancashire based charitable trust following the devastation caused by the 1995 flood. Still in use in 2003.

1995 Katherine Of Lancaster

Aylings Quadruple Scull. Purchased with the help of a donation from K.P.M.G. and a grant from a Lancashire based charitable trust. Still in use in 2003.

1995 Limelight Burgashell double scull. Purchased with the assistance of Limelight Signs of Bacup, Lancs. Still in use in 2003.
1995 River Greta

Burgashell single sculls. Purchased as a result of the insurance claim following the 1995 flood. Still in use in 2003. 
1997 River Hindburn

Burgashell single scull. Purchased as a result of a donation from North West Water. Still in use in 2003.

1998 The Lancastrian

Burgashell coxed quadruple scull. Purchased as a result of fund-raising by ROCAP and a donation from InterLink Import-Export. Still in use in 2003.

2000 The Lancaster Rose

Janousek coxed four.Purchased as a result of fund-raising by ROCAP, donations made at the 50th Anniversary dinner donations from InterLink Import-Export and North West Water. Still in use in 2003.

Janousek coxless pair. Donated byStan Hilling (OL) in memeory of Keith Eccles (OL), both former members of the Club. Still in use in 2003.

Janousek VIII purchased from London Rowing club. First VIII bought by the club since 1969.
